One of my favorite series is the "Dublin Series" done by Ted Vancleave. It was taken in one area and the perspective is normally down (you know, looking up?). He normally involves some crazy color or makes a color pop in his photographs. His photographs are highly stylized and he often does subjects nobody else thinks about. Ted VanCleave's art has received numerous honors and distinctions. His work was selected by Laura Rosenstock, Curator, The Museum of Modern Art, New York to appear in the Faber Birren Color Award Show and he was awarded Top National Honors from the prestigious National Watercolor Society.
What originally attracted me to his work were his subjects and the bright colors in his photographs. His angles are also very interesting as well, most people are normally so focused on what surrounds them that they don't look up. I also like the interesting architecture and buildings shown in these photographs.
